Call to Order: by Chair Bartow at 7PM
Agenda and Posting: Properly posted. Chair asks talk about item 9 & 10 together yet separate motions. Motion Supervisor Brockway, 2nd Supervisor Thome. Approved
April 9, 2026 Minutes: Motion Brockway, 2nd Thome. Approved
Treasurer’s Report: Treasurer B. Brockway reported on all accounts. Motion Thome, 2nd G. Brockway. Approved
Chair Remarks:
a: Richland Ambulance: May 12th meeting reported on outside companies that submitted just for the Richland service area, went to board for county wide levy. 9.51% would be Buena Vista’s. May 19th meeting. Chair wrote a letter of objection and asks for board’s blessing to send. Motion to send letter as drafted Brockway, 2nd Thome. Blessed
b: Republic Services: Chair spoke with them to ask what has been going on as service has been less than great for months now. Time, people and equipment are all issues. Under contract. Ask them to come to a meeting as they were unable to come to this meeting.
Reports:
Supervisors: Brockway lots of calls on garbage & EMS, Thome as well garbage, EMS and clean up
Clerk: Issues already discussed by supervisors
Patrolman:
Tree hanging over a personal property. No action at this time.
Correction of spelling of McNurlin sign at first. Motion to correct Thome, 2nd Brockway. Carries.
Lone Rock Fire: Radio tower a success, all radios work. New members are training, Banquet a success. Next meeting July 28, 2026.
Richland Fire: Chief pushing for a new station. Found out can’t get the grants they are looking for as they don’t own the land. The percentages of compensation don’t add up. New gear purchased. New trainees.
Appointments to Boards/Committees:
a: Lone Rock Fire: Floyd and he waived the per diem for the meetings
b: Richland Fire: Gordie
Open bids for Wedging and Asphalt: Two companies submitted bids. Scotts and Gassers. Board reviewed both bids and spoke with both representatives. Motion to use Scotts at 84.40/ton cold mix Brockway, 2nd Thome. Carries.
2026 Wedging and Asphalt Projects: Motion for wedging and asphalting of .54mi of St. Killians Rd @ 84.40/ton Thome, 2nd Brockway. Carries.
Sealcoating Town Roads: motion to seal coat 1.2mi Dillon Rd, .26mi Garrelts Ln, .98mi Fairview Rd, .38mi Twin Bluffs Rd, .14 Shueremann with single seal being at $16,377/mi and chips $2,280/mi by Bartow, 2nd by Thome. Carries.
Richland Fire Request: They want to switch from 2 inspections a year to 1 a year. Motion to approve Thome, 2nd Brockway. Carries.
Town Website Email Notifications: An option for people to sign up for notifications when a new posting is made to the website. Motion Thome, 2nd Brockway. Carries
Pay Bills: Motion to pay bills as presented with the addition of Morris Newspaper for $94.21 for a total of $31,733.94 by Thome, 2nd Brockway. Paid
Citizen Comment: A guard rail was hit by someone and the citizen is repairing it.
