Town Chair Remarks

a. 2026 ARIP: Asking permission to be able to apply for Fairview Rd Motion Thome 2^nd Carries.

Reports

a. Supervisor’s Report: Brockway, Randy willing to take over Henpeck as he is tired of people driving through his fields. Thome, comments for later agenda points.

b. Clerk Report: i. Election worker recruitment update: Would like to find a few more. Will be a meeting with county clerk for training hopefully early November.

c. Patrolman/Roads: Where are we at on the road budget? Clerk looking into it.

d. Lone Rock Fire: Billing direct to nonresidents, not to the town. Budget approved.

e. Richland Fire: No meeting.

Variance Request- Jacob Layton: Looking to put up a 24 x 30 garage within the setbacks of his property. Motion Thome, 2^nd Brockway. Carries.

Treasurer Request Supplies: Request for supplies for tax season and regular Treasurer operations. Motion By Bartow to approve $1,800 2^nd by Brockway. Carries.

Status update on New Town Website: Shopping News has a test page under construction. Thome shared with the board. Thome to work with Clerk and Treasurer to present a finalized site next month.

Set Date for 2026 Budget Workshop: October 21, 2025 at 6pm. Motion Brockway, 2^nd Thome. Carries.

Buena Vista Lion’s Club: Presented expenses since November 2023.

1. Requesting the closure of streets in the L shape in front and on the side of the Town Hall Nov. 1, 2025 for the time of the event from 12pm – 3pm.Motion Thome, 2^nd Brockway. Carries.

Pay Bills: Motion to pay as presented Thome, 2^nd Brockway. Paid.

Citizens Comments: Request for an update of the investigation into the town’s finances. Question of which Alliant bills are the Parks. Request to prepare the tax inserts and newsletter. Signs for engine breaking are not working.
