Call to Order: Chair Bartow at 7pm
Agenda and Posting: Amend, strike #10 and add Sextonville Water Works petition to acquire Ithaca Sanitary District. Motion Supervisor Brockway, 2nd Supervisor Thome. Approved
October 9, 2025 Minutes: Motion Thome, 2nd Brockway. Approved
Treasurer’s Report: Treasurer Brockway reported on all accounts. Motion to approve as presented and to include the two transfers of funds from one account to the other, deposited into the wrong account Supervisor Brockway, 2nd Supervisor Thome. Approved
Town Chair Remarks:
a: Forensic Investigation Update: The investigation is just waiting on some records that have been requested. If records requested are received it could be wrapped up in 30-60 days. If unfulfilled records will have to be subpoenaed causing a delay.
b: 2025 Annual Newsletter: Annual Newsletter draft was presented. Treasurer working with company to get the online tax payment working.
c: Sextonville Water Works to join with Ithaca Sanitary District: Petition to join these two came to the town 11/13/2025, this has been forwarded to the lawyer. A special meeting will be held within 30 days.
Reports:
a: Supervisor Reports: Thome only website and will wait until later agenda item. Brockway no reports.
b: Clerk Report:
i: Election worker recruitment update: Training with county clerk Dec. 1st. Have 6. Still looking for more. Would like to have around 10.
ii: Voting Machine Maintenance Agreement: Motion to renew contract by Brockway, 2nd Thome. Carries
c: Patrolman/Road Report: Discussed work on Rohn Hollow Rd.
i: Dillon Rd Roadside Cleanup: Plan is to get cleaned up this year and ready for seal coating in the spring.
d: Lone Rock Fire District: No meeting, Next meeting Nov. 18, 2025 @ 7pm
e: Richland Fire District: Improvements to parking lot. Trained with schools, insurance went up, looking at land for a new fire station
Rezone Request – Jerry Beranek – Parcel #006-201-11000, Slow Ln, Lone Rock: Wants to rezone from Ag/Forest to Res/Ag. Currently in CSM. About 7-8 acres. Motion to rezone parcel from Ag/Forest to Ag/Res Thome, 2nd Brockway. Carries
New Town Website: Final layout presented for official website. Motion to approve layout of the website at buenavistarcwi.gov with Thome and Allen to make changes at the request of other members by Bartow, 2nd Brockway. Carries
Tax collector bonds-CNA Surety: Needed for Treasurer to collect taxes. Motion Bartow, 2nd Thome. Carries
2025 Ambulance Fund Disbursement: $4,000 earmarked for training, $2,500 to Lone Rock EMS and $1,500 to Ithaca First Responder. Remaining $12,000 is to be disbursed at $7,000 to Lone Rock EMS and $5,000 to Ithaca First Responders. Motion Thome, 2nd Brockway carries.
Buena Vista Lions Club: Closed for the season, everything shut off and drained. Dec. 13th Bake sale at the salon.
Pay Bills: BFI IT contacted as there has been difficulty getting our account set up to pay online like in the past. Motion to pay bills as presented with the addition of $217.82 for the Bonds for taxes Thome, 2nd Brockway. Paid
Citizen Comments: Concern of trespassing and a street that is privately maintained.
