Feb. 12,2026 Minutes: Motion Brockway, 2nd Thome. Approved
Treasurer’s Report: Treasurer Brockway reported on all accounts. Request to transfer $106,456.19 from the tax collection account to the general checking account. Motion to approve Treasurer’s report to include the transfer of $106,456.19 Brockway, 2nd Thome. Carries
Chair Remarks: Richland County EMS is conducting a study. Chair to follow up.
Reports:
Supervisors: Brockway had a garbage complaint. Reminder to have bins out by 6AM. Thome no report.
Clerk: Caution on emails received for phishing and scams. Townhall will be needing some cleaning supplies. Some election supplies may be needed.
i: MSA contract: Well testing around old dump. Motion to approve at a cost of $3,675.00 Brockway, 2nd Thome. Carries.
ii: Richland/Grant Fiber Optic Consent letter: Want consent to install fiber optic wire in a portion of the town. Motion to sign Thome, 2nd Brockway. Carries.
Patrolman/Road Report: Patrolman not present, no report.
Lone Rock Fire: No meeting, next meeting is April 28th at 7PM.
Richland Fire: New doors installed on the fire station, old ones sold on auction surplus. Looking at a land lease for future site of a new station.
Variance Request – 29261 Hwy 14 – Parcel #006-3011-1100 – Setback: Setback is 12ft too short. Want to rebuild on current foundation from house that was torn down. Motion to approve setback 12ft closer to the center line of the highway Brockway, 2nd Thome. Carries
Town CD’s: CDs coming due, Multiple local banks represented. Motion to use the People’s Community Bank 7 months with no penalty CD to transfer all 3 CDs at maturity at a rate of 3.40% Bartow, 2nd Brockway. Carries.
Advertise for Bids: Motion to advertise in the Observer for quotes on single seal/mile, double seal/mile, chips (coated and uncoated)/ton, and gravel per ton picked up, sealed bids due to the clerk by April 8, 2026, by 5Pm, Bartow, 2nd Thome. Carries.
Gotham Park bathroom doors: There may be a grant available through the DNR. Lions Club to gather information for 2027. No action.
Bills: Note next month town hall Alliant bill may be a little higher, had a thermostat malfunction. Gotham Streetlights received a credit of $1,221.96 for being billed incorrectly over a 10-year span. Motion to pay bills as presented Brockway, 2nd Thome. Paid.
Citizen Comments: Treasurer presented garbage collection data for 2025.
