The Town of Buena Vista will be able to take electronic payments online this year through an internet interface with Value Payment Systems (VPS), LLC. The payment options of E-Checks, Debit Cards and Credit Cards are allowed through VPS. This service will be available until Midnight on January 31, 2026. This option will be turned off by the county until all tax settlements are done and then will be turned back on for payments to be made for the second half of taxes or delinquent taxes. VPS charges a convenience fee to process these payments. This fee is paid directly to VPS and neither Richland County nor the Town of Buena Vista receives any portion of this fee.
To pay taxes online, you will need to know your parcel numbers and amounts which can be found by clicking LandNavPortal, which will take you to the Richland County website. Be sure to select the correct “Tax Year” below Owner Information. There is an instructions guide for how to make payments on the Public Portal Homepage.
A convenience fee of 2.39% of the payment amount ($2.00 min) or $3.95 for personal Visa debit is charged by Value Payment Systems for using this service. The accept MasterCard, Visa, American Express credit and debit cards. The fee for using an electronic check is $1.50.
**Note: If you select credit and are using a debit card you will be charged the credit processing rate.
